The Western Lake
Erie Sailing Club is a non-profit organization established to promote and support sailing
at all levels of experience. Whether you are interested in racing or cruising - in big
boats or small - Western Lake Erie Sailing Club has a lot to offer YOU!!!
The Club was formed in 1983 by a group of individuals who were sailing instructors for
North Cape Yacht Club, Toledo Sailing Club, and Jolly Roger Sailing Club. These people saw
the need to provide better, more consolidated instruction for women sailors in Western
Lake Erie. The Club organizes cruises, helps its members further develop their present
skills and sailing confidence, supports it members in competitive sailing, supports and
encourages young sailors, and provides other opportunities for sailing and racing
instruction.
The club is open to all people who are interested in learning more about sailing.
